Privacy Policy.
Effective June 10, 2026
Planro is built by Grumpy Man Labs with privacy as a starting point, not an afterthought. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the control you keep over your data.
01 Information We Collect
Planro collects only what is necessary to provide you with a great experience. This includes:
- Account information — your name and email address when you create an account or sign in with Apple.
- App usage data — habits, goals, workouts, media entries, and calendar events you create within Planro. This data is stored in iCloud and associated with your Apple ID.
- Purchase information — subscription status (Free, Pro, or Lifetime) managed through Apple’s App Store. We do not receive your payment details.
- Crash and diagnostic reports — anonymized data to help us identify and fix bugs. This does not include personal information.
We do not collect your precise location, contacts, microphone, or camera data unless you explicitly grant access for a specific in-app feature.
02 How We Use Your Information
Your information is used solely to operate and improve Planro. Specifically:
- To sync your data across your devices via iCloud.
- To manage your subscription and unlock Pro or Lifetime features.
- To respond to your support requests.
- To diagnose crashes and improve app stability.
We do not use your data for advertising, behavioral tracking, or profiling.
03 Data Storage & Security
Your Planro data is stored in your personal iCloud account, which is protected by Apple’s security infrastructure. Grumpy Man Labs does not operate its own database of user content.
Support communications sent to support@grumpymanlabs.com are stored securely and used only to resolve your request.
We implement appropriate technical safeguards and follow industry best practices to protect any data we do handle.
04 Third-Party Services
Planro integrates with the following third-party APIs to power certain features. These services are accessed on your behalf and are subject to their own privacy policies:
- The Movie Database (TMDB) — for movie and TV show metadata in the Media section.
- Open Library (Internet Archive) — for book search and metadata.
- iTunes Search API (Apple) — for music and podcast metadata.
- Apple iCloud — for secure cross-device data sync.
- Apple App Store — for subscription management and purchase validation.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any third party for their own commercial purposes.
05 Data Retention & Deletion
Your in-app data lives in your iCloud account and is under your control at all times. You can delete your Planro account at any time:
Go to Planro → Profile → Delete Account. You will be asked to type “DELETE” to confirm. Upon deletion, your account data is permanently removed from our systems within 30 days.
You may also export your data at any time via Profile → Export Data, which generates a JSON file saved to your device.
06 Children’s Privacy
Planro is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
07 Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will notify you within the app. Continued use of Planro after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
